A woman was removed from a Tulare County Board of Supervisors meeting Tuesday during a heated debate over data centers, as county leaders voted to extend a temporary ban on new projects.
Video from the meeting shows the woman being escorted out while calling on supervisors to address data centers.
“Talk about the data center! This is a global problem!” she said.
Supervisors ultimately voted 5-0 to extend the county's original 45 day moratorium for another 10 months and 15 days. The moratorium applies to new data center development in unincorporated Tulare County.
The debate began after a data center was proposed at the Tulare County Fairgrounds, but the county is now considering more broadly how future facilities should be regulated.
