Chag Sameach and happy Sukkot from our DJDS mishpacha to yours! 🌿🍋 For this Mischpacha Monday, we’re celebrating a tradition that extends our community well beyond our own campus. Since 2017, DJDS seniors have helped build a sukkah at Children’s Hospital Colorado, creating a space in the hospital’s Hope Garden where patients, families, doctors, nurses, and staff can celebrate Sukkot. This year, our seniors proudly continued the tradition. 🔨 While part of the class got to work building the sukkah, other students spent time in the hospital atrium making Sukkot and fall-themed crafts and paper chains with patients. Then everyone came together to decorate the finished sukkah. Sukkot is, in many ways, a holiday about gathering—welcoming others into our spaces, sharing what we have, and remembering the importance of community.
