Before fixing nerves, wrestlers and parents need to understand them. Feeling nervous before a match isn't weakness. It's biology. When your brain senses a high-stakes moment, it fires up the fight-or-flight system and releases adrenaline to get your body ready for action. That's why: Your heart races Your palms sweat Your breathing quickens The problem isn't the nerves. It's what wrestlers think those nerves mean. Most read them as fear or doubt ("I'm nervous, something's wrong"). In reality, those sensations are signs the body is getting ready to compete. Mindset reframe: "My body isn't nervous. It's ready." That shift alone takes wrestlers from panicking about nerves to using them as fuel. #WrestlingMindset #Wrestling #WeeklyMindsetTip #Nerves
