Our dedication to ecological farming is paying off! 🐝🍯 Did you know that the majority of our apples, as well as our stone fruit and pears are EcoCertified by Red Tomato? 🚜 EcoCertified growers are focused on protecting pollinators and beneficial insects, as well as environmental resources by implementing growing practices that reduce risk to both the natural environment and humans. 🍎 While walking through our Golden Delicious trees this past weekend we found an amazing honey bee hive! Our bee keeper believes it took over two months to build, which means the bees felt like this was a great spot for them! We’ve been actively working in the orchard and in this block of trees, even spraying EcoCertified treatments throughout the summer, and these bees have flourished! 😍 By implementing practices that ensure a safe environment for these and other pollinators, we hope to continue educating the public on the benefits of ecological farming.
