I laughed… then put “This entire year has been terrifying” into Midjourney. These images are what came out. I animated them and paired them with “Wonderwall” by Oasis. The more I sat with it, the more that combination made sense to me. I hear longing in that song. Wanting someone to reach you, to understand you, to make a difficult world feel a little less lonely. And looking at these strange figures together, I started wondering which ones were the threat and which ones were keeping someone company. That woman leaning toward the hooded figure could be afraid. Or maybe that’s the one place she feels safe. Some years, you’re just grateful for the people who help you get through them. The ones you can call when you don’t have the words yet.
