25 years ago today, 2,977 people lost their lives in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Among them were the 33 passengers and 7 crew members aboard Flight 93. After learning that their plane had been hijacked, the passengers made the courageous decision to fight back. Their actions brought Flight 93 down in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, preventing the hijackers from reaching their intended target and saving countless lives. Today, the nation gathered at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville to honor the 40 lives lost aboard Flight 93 and all those who lost their lives on Tuesday, September 11th, 2001. 📸: @marinacontreirasmedia
