📊 WHERE WILL AI FIND THAT EXTRA REVENUE?
Bain & Company, one of the world’s largest management consulting firms, estimates AI infrastructure spending could reach $1.5 trillion per year by 2031. To sustain that level of investment, the industry would need nearly $6 trillion in annual revenue.
The problem: today’s AI products could generate only around $1.2–$1.8 trillion, leaving a massive gap of up to $4.8 trillion. Bain says the missing revenue would have to come from new markets such as autonomous vehicles, robotics, digital twins, drug discovery and other AI-powered products that are still emerging. 🤖🚗💊
In other words, AI may not just need better models—it needs entirely new businesses capable of turning massive infrastructure costs into revenue.
