Inventory turnover pays the bills. In my card store, I'd much rather make $10 ten different times than make $100 one time. Everybody gets obsessed with margin and asks how much I make on a card. The better question is how fast it sold. A huge margin on a card that sits in my case for six months means my money was trapped. Put that same money into inventory that sells over and over, and it keeps working for me. That's why the most expensive or highest-margin card in the store isn't automatically the best inventory. See how I run my company at Cash Cards Unlimited or visit either of our stores. Comment "margin" and I'll pull a real card off my shelves and show you which ones I'd own as a collector and which as a business owner.
