The G50-generation 3-Series is the eighth and latest generation in a long line of BMW’s signature compact sport sedan. It may look like the i3 EV, but it is built on an unrelated architecture designed to accommodate internal combustion power.
The top internal combustion 3-Series is an all-wheel drive variant with a sub-four-second 0-60-mph sprint, dubbed the M350 xDrive. The M350 adds a 48-volt mild hybrid system to the long-serving B58 turbo inline-6, which now boasts 448 hp and 428 lb-ft of torque.
The U.S. base model will receive 330 and 330 xDrive branding, respectively, depending on whether a buyer opts for rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. That car uses a turbocharged four-cylinder B58 engine producing 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque.
