This one means a lot. 🩷 Before I ever held office, I was organizing. I learned from labor organizers and civil rights leaders who taught me that everyday working people should have a real say in what our communities and our economy look like. I’ve carried that with me into every fight since. The miamiherald took a deeper look at those roots, the people who poured into me, and why organizing is still at the center of this campaign. I’m especially grateful to see the late Alphonso Mayfield’s influence recognized here. His spirit is still very much with us in this work. Thank you to Raisa Habersham and miamiherald for taking the time to tell this story. 🩷 #Angie4FL #FloridaPolitics #Labor #CivilRights #PeoplePower
