Somebody in your company already answered this question. They researched it. They wrote it up properly. They got paid for the time it took. That was eleven months ago. Today somebody else is answering the same question from scratch, because the first answer is in a deck, in a folder, in a drive nobody thought to look in. You are not missing knowledge. You are paying for it over and over and over again. And every rebuild produces one more version that will also go unfound, which is why the problem compounds instead of settling. What breaks the cycle is unglamorous. Capture what was already written, wherever it lives. Put it in a shape people and AI systems can actually use. Keep it current, so it is still right in eleven months. Get it approved, so somebody can stand behind it. The work was already done. It should only have to be done once.
