IT’S TIME FOR BOOK FLAP FRIDAY! Book Flap Friday is when I read the inside cover (or book-flap) of a new or interesting story that I’d like to shine a light on. Today’s spotlight is on MONKEYPIG by author & illustrator @huwaaron! MONKEYPIG is a bold and colorful picture book that on the surface may at first seem like a super silly and funny read for kids, but Huw Aaron also beautifully interweaves in warm hearted messages of fitting in! Tackling age appropriate themes of identity and acceptance, and brings it all together with a fun and unexpected plot twist revealing who the real monkey is. MONKEYPIG is the perfect picture book for any classroom, home or library! #etraintalks #bookflapfriday #literacyadvocate #readingcommunity #kidlit #bookstagram #booktube #monkeypig #bookinfluencer #teachersofinstagram #libraries #newpicturebook #acceptance #fittingin #bookswithheart #picturebookillustration
