Is there a better way to kick off Oct. than a cemetery walk?! Stroll through UNI history at Fairview Cemetery this Thursday, Oct. 1 from 5–6:30 p.m. or Sunday, Oct. 4 from 2–4 p.m. As part of UNI’s Sesquicentennial celebration, the Department of History and University Honors Program are hosting the two free, self-guided cemetery tours. Students will be stationed throughout the cemetery to share stories of notable figures from UNI’s past, including longtime President Homer Seerley, author Nancy Price, D-Day veteran Howard Vander Beek and others. Stop by anytime during the tour windows and discover a different side of UNI’s 150-year history! #UNI150
