This highly academic and practical Grand Round looks into Mineralocorticoid Related Hypertension. Reports reveal a prevalence of up to 10% of individuals with hypertension are Mineralocorticoid Related hence diagnosis and management of this category of patients with hypertension is of importance in reducing morbidity and mortality attributable to hypertension especially among young individuals. This session is designed to draw attention to presence of a potentially curable form of hypertension especially among relatively young individuals and the need to consider this and other forms secondary hypertension that may present either at the primary care or specialist clinic visit.
