Set apart and separate are two different things. We are holy (set apart) because Jesus says we are holy as He is holy. Pharisee means separate… they were not connected to the people, but better than the people; focusing on law instead of love. When we recognize Jesus as king, He says He can then build His church, His governing assembly in the earth representing the King of the kingdom.
