It’s October, which means it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Aside from encouraging women to get their mammograms and other screenings, increasing awareness of changing incidence rates among younger generations, and continuing my own breast cancer treatment, I want to shed light on the toll this disease can take on those of us unlucky enough to have to deal with it — from the physical and mental toll on patients themselves to the impact on personal relationships, including parents, children, spouses and caregivers. This October, we’re doing just that with stories from women, including me, whose lives have been changed by a breast cancer diagnosis. In partnership with elilillyco. #LillyPartner
