Behind the Rescue: What happens when you apply? 🐾 When you submit an adoption application, there are real people behind the scenes reading it! (The dogs just supervise.) Our volunteers review applications, contact references and veterinary offices, and talk with fosters about which applicants might be a good fit for each animal. Some animals receive only a few applications, while others may receive dozens. Because we’re a small, largely volunteer-run rescue, we aren’t always able to follow up with everyone. When we find a promising match, we’ll reach out to talk more, answer questions and potentially arrange a meet and greet.
