Tropical storms and a surge of moisture from a hurricane spinning near Mexico this week are expected to generate Colorado’s most widespread rainfall in years, according to the National Weather Service. ☔
The remnants of Hurricane Polo in the eastern Pacific Ocean will merge with a storm system moving into the southwest United States, forecasters said.
The storm’s exact track remains uncertain, but a moderate risk of flash flooding, at least 40%, is forecast for southern Colorado, while the Denver area and northeastern plains will see a slight risk of at least 15%, according to the weather service.
