Every year on September 30, Canada acknowledges National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Thank you to Shalaya Valenzuela from Canada's Women's Sevens Team, for sharing some learnings with us today 💛 #NDTR honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process. The annual national commemorative gathering Remembering the Children: National Day for Truth and Reconcilation will begin a multilingual ceremony starting at 9AM PT / 12PM ET and will be broadcast LIVE from Parliament Hill in Ottawa, on the unceded Anishinabe Algonquin Traditional Territory. Visit aptntv.ca/ndtr/rtc for broadcast details. *** Chaque année, le 30 septembre, le Canada célèbre la Journée nationale de la vérité et de la réconciliation.
