OpenAI's biggest DevDay yet is all about agents and teamwork. Here's what matters:
Models and speed:
GPT-6.1 Sol delivers near-Astra intelligence at about a fifth of the price, with strong agentic coding and computer use. The new Ultrafast tier generates up to 8Ć faster in Codex (around 300 tokens/sec), and the new Pro 500 plan gives 25Ć the Plus allowance.
Agents:
Dots are always-on agents that work for you in the background. The Agents API now supports computer use, and Bedrock Managed Agents lets OpenAI agents run entirely inside AWS.
Codex and security:
Codex now runs on your computer, from your phone, or in the cloud. The CLI gets voice control and an /agents view, Code Review does first-pass reviews while you're away, and Codex Security Cloud scans repos on a schedule and prepares fixes.
ChatGPT for teams:
