Often beaten down by the frustrations, the lack of acknowledgment for their talent, drive or determination. They allow the decisions of others, the teams they don’t make, and the political process they navigate to knock them down, or force them to give up. Not Jessie At just 10 years old , in our first ever training session , she looked me straight in the eye and declared “i want to play for New Zealand, and I want to go to college in the USA 🇺🇸” I said “ok , let’s get to work and make that a reality?” Years and years of early mornings , weekends, tours to the USA, trips to NZ, and one of the most incredible work ethics you will ever see, she did just that.
