So Mau started from a pretty simple frustration. Most cat furniture is either functional but ugly, or nice-looking but clearly not designed for cats first. And the team at Mau wanted to be the change they wanted to see. Mau designs feline-first furniture that actually works for cats, but is also good enough to live in a real home. Thoughtful, functional pieces that don’t need hiding away in a corner. Super fun for all the cat humans here. The identity needed to remain simple, useable with a hit of sophistication... we are working with cats after all. Leaning into a word mark with the cheeky ability to use the “M” as a secondary symbol was a delicious win.
