🚨💔 TRAGIC NEWS OUT OF SOUTH LOS ANGELES. An infant girl believed to be between 4 and 6 months old was discovered inside a dumpster near Alba Street and Long Beach Avenue Monday night. A resident taking out the trash found the baby wrapped inside a blanket. Emergency crews rushed her to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The LAPD is investigating the death as a homicide, and detectives from the department’s Abused Child Unit are handling the case. Authorities say an 18-year-old woman identified by law-enforcement sources as the baby’s mother has been detained in connection with the investigation. At this stage, being detained does not establish guilt, and authorities are still working to determine exactly what happened and the child’s cause of death. This is a heartbreaking developing story. 💔🕊️ Follow DZYNetwork for updates as more verified information becomes available. #LosAngeles #LAPD #BreakingNews #DZYNetwork #News
