We just unlocked a brand-new penguin 🐧 Researchers found that gentoo penguins living on the remote Kerguelen Islands are genetically different enough to be their own species. The new lad has been named Pygoscelis kerguelensis and is believed to be the first entirely new penguin species identified in more than 100 years. It was just chilling on one of the most remote island chains on Earth, waiting for science to catch up. #penguin #animal #ladbible
