Georgia LB Chris Cole is DIFFERENT at LB for the Bulldogsš¤
The 6ā3ā, 235-pound junior put his freakish athleticism on full display against Oklahoma, reportedly reaching 22.12 MPH with the ball in his hands. Cole scooped up a John Mateer fumble and took it 85 yards to the house, helping Georgia roll to a 41-13 win. He finished the game with a career-high eight tackles, a sack and two fumble recoveries, earning SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
That kind of speed isnāt exactly new for Cole. Before arriving at Georgia, he was a standout hurdler who finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles at the 2023 Nike Indoor Nationals with a school-record 8.44-second time. Now heās bringing that track speed to the SEC at 235 pounds. Georgia teammates have even nicknamed him āTarantulaā because of the way he covers ground with his length and athleticism.
