Photographer Scott Redd, of Bend, Ore., captured rare photos of a bobcat in a tree in Manzanita late last May, 2023. According to the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, "the bobcat, or Lynx rufus, is the smallest wild felid in Oregon. It’s about twice the size of a domestic cat, with longer legs, small feet and a muscular, compact body. The bobcat occurs statewide in Oregon and may be found in all areas."
