Know someone at Wilberforce, Central State or Morehouse? Send this their way. Long before the Grammys, johnlegend was a Penn student paying his own rent. He worked a work-study job, picked up hours at a church and lived off campus for three years to make it work. He hasn't forgotten what that felt like. This fall, he's covering rent for 50 college students through bilt and Scholarship America. Three of the four schools he chose are HBCUs: wilberforce_u, centralstate87 and morehouse1867. The help goes to students living off campus who are at risk of eviction. For some of them, one covered month means finishing the semester. Full story on hbcubuzz.com, link in bio. 🏠 #HBCU #JohnLegend #HBCUBuzz #HBCUStudents #HBCUPride
