No. 8 Florida opened SEC play with ease, sweeping Oklahoma 25-21, 25-22, 25-19 at McCasland Field House to extend the Gators' winning streak to eight matches.
The opening set was tight throughout, featuring 14 ties and seven lead changes before Florida broke a 17-all deadlock with three straight points. Oklahoma pulled back within two at 20-18, but the Gators held firm to close it out 25-21, hitting a blistering .481 in the frame. Oklahoma built an early 11-7 lead in the second set and battled Florida to a tie at 19-19 before the Gators pulled away late, closing out a 25-22 win behind an Oklahoma attack error and a pair of kills from Kamryn Chaney. Florida took control early in the third, using a 7-2 run to build a 14-9 lead before extending the advantage and finishing off the sweep, 25-19.
