🚨 Anthropic, the company behind Claude, has released a new report examining how much work robots can already handle today and how the picture changes when robotics is combined with AI.
The biggest shift appears in physical jobs.
According to the report, robots can currently perform about 74% of physical work tasks in the US in at least some environments. When robots and LLMs are considered together, around 81% of work tasks are exposed to one of the technologies.
Transportation and moving shows one of the most dramatic differences. LLMs alone expose less than 15% of tasks in this category, but the figure rises to roughly 90% when robots are included. Office and administrative support reaches nearly 100%.
AI exposure by itself looks very different. LLMs primarily affect computer-based, business, legal and office work, while many physical occupations have much lower exposure.
