At Arnold Schwarzenegger’s suggestion, Figure gave its retiring F.02 robots a seriously Terminator-style sendoff. 🤖🔥 Figure is retiring the F.02 fleet as it moves toward newer generations of humanoid robots. Instead of manually dismantling the machines, the company took a very different approach after Schwarzenegger commented, “You should melt them.” So they did exactly that. Using stunt motion capture and simulation, Figure trained the robots to autonomously jump into a massive 75-ton electric arc furnace in Finland, without any remote control. The extreme heat and powerful electric fields were so intense that some of the cameras stopped working before the final jump. And Figure didn’t stop there. The metal recovered from the melted robots was turned into limited-edition collectibles, transforming a robot retirement into an engineering demonstration, a marketing stunt, and an unmistakable Terminator reference. 🤯 Would you want to see more robot demos like this? 🤔💬 👉👉Foll...
