Last week we held our 25th annual MLK Symposium - a hallmark of the Breck student experience. Organized by our very own Melrose Center for Leadership and Equity, the symposium provided opportunities for students from preschool through 12th grade to participate in developmentally appropriate activities that amplify marginalized voices and explore the work of individuals advancing social justice around the world. The many enriching learning experiences throughout the day provided a powerful reflection on the lessons of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and pushed our students to discover how they can use their unique gifts to help build a more just and welcoming community.
