This was one of the earliest memories I have of my vegan journey - I wasn’t vegan yet, but I did not want to take that innocent squirrel’s life. Even if it meant disappointing my dad or not being seen as a “man”. We get to redefine masculinity and protect the lives on innocent beings, no matter the species.
