In Defense of Being Messy. For years I’ve had to deal with all sorts of people - friends and colleagues (you know who you are)- telling me how messy my work area is - my desk, my timelines, etc. But the mess is the key! It has a wisdom of its own. Learn to listen to what it wants to be and figure out your own process for finding the statue inside the marble. It’s endless and takes time (and has no regard for deadlines or vacations) but it’s well worth it.
