From receiving support to becoming a source of support for others. 💙
As a Chaiken Scholar, Nia Smith found community and resources to help her succeed at Penn State. She later became part of the inaugural cohort of peer success coaches at the Liberal Arts Chaiken Center, helping shape a program that now connects students with the guidance and resources they need to navigate college.
Nia graduated in spring 2024 with degrees in Psychology and Women’s Studies and a minor in Child Maltreatment and Advocacy Studies. Now pursuing a master’s degree in social work, she continues to draw on what she learned as a peer success coach as she supports students in her own career.
