Meet Kathy Swidwa, assistant director of marketing and branding in the College of the Liberal Arts and a member of the 2026 University Homecoming Court! 🎉 Kathy is a two-time Penn State graduate, earning a bachelor’s degree in Print Journalism from psubellisario in 2013 and a master of education degree in Higher Education Administration from pennstate_edu in 2016. As an undergraduate, Kathy found community across pennstate. She served as president of ophia_psu and communications director for the Class Gift Campaign, participated in the Student Programming Association (psuspa)—where she met her husband—and completed internships with several Penn State units that helped launch her career at the University. Since joining Liberal Arts in 2013, Kathy has built her career around helping students connect with the college and sharing the stories of the people and experiences that make the Liberal Arts community special.
