Black history isn’t only something that happened before us. It’s still being written right now. 🖤 Growing up in football, I was often one of the only Black girls in the team photo. And the older I’ve got, the more I’ve realised how many incredible Black women in sport came before me whose stories I simply didn’t know enough about. So this Black History Month, I want to change that — even if it’s just on my little corner of the internet. Throughout October, I’ll be telling the stories of Black women across sport. The pioneers, the history-makers, the women who broke barriers and the women doing it right now. Some names you’ll know. Others we’ll discover together. Black History Month: The Untold Stories in Women’s Sport. 🖤 Who’s a Black woman in sport whose story you think more people should know? #BlackHistoryMonth #WomenInSport #WomensFootball #BlackWomenInSport #bhm2026
