Black superheroes embody the strength and power in all of us. From John Stewart to Black Panther, Storm, Miles Morales, Luke Cage, and Static Shock, they’ve shown audiences that we can be the person who saves the day. And when people try to dismiss that representation as “woke,” it’s worth remembering: Black identity and the realities of race have been part of many of these characters’ stories from the beginning. We love Black superheroes because they help us see what’s possible. And we need them because everyone deserves to see themselves as the hero. #ColorOfChange #BlackSuperheroes #RepresentationMatters #BlackRepresentation #JohnStewart #BlackPanther #Storm #MilesMorales #LukeCage #StaticShock #Lanterns #AaronPierre
