Rio Waida grew up terrified of the ocean but you'd never think it based on his life at the moment. Born and raised on the island of Bali, Waida is the first Indonesian surfer to compete on the sport's Championship Tour having qualified last season. He now wants to become world champion, following in the footsteps of idols Kelly Slater and Mick Fanning, and also win Olympic gold.
