Exploded skulls are incredibly rare anatomical preparations and the craft behind them is becoming increasingly uncommon. Through The Bone Museum’s Exploded Skull Initiative, we commission a new preparation each year to help preserve this historic technique and support the artisans still practicing it. Today, we’re showcasing several examples from our collection and exploring the history behind this remarkable art form. #bonetok #learnontiktok #learnontiktokcontest #edutok
