It’s not about having the most exciting conversation or saying everything perfectly, but about feeling at ease and accepted for who you are. The right place won’t make you second-guess yourself — it will simply feel like somewhere you can be yourself. For me, joining AGD ended up changing my life in ways I could have never expected. I’m a first-generation college student and the first in my family to go into Greek life, so I came into all this barely knowing what to expect, if anything at all — all I took with me was an open mind and positive mindset. What I found in the end was a community that believed in me before I fully even believed in myself.
