The Rays came away with a 1–0 win over the Yankees in a game where pitching was the story. Tampa Bay didn’t need much offense, but they made the most of their chances and kept New York’s bats quiet all night. Austin Wells had the Yankees’ only hit of the game, a double in the eighth inning. He tried to stretch it into a triple, but the Rays quickly turned a clean relay from the outfield into an out at third, ending the inning and the Yankees’ best chance to get something going. Drew Rasmussen was the difference-maker, striking out 10 over eight dominant innings. Jonathan Aranda provided the only run with a solo homer, and the Rays’ defense took care of the rest to seal the 1–0 victory. - follow ( slugger.report ) for insane baseball content - #baseball #mlb #baseballplays #yankees #tbrays
