Would you ‘prefer’ Simon Edvinsson in a Bruins jersey? 👀 Yesterday during Rogers Saturday Night Headlines, Elliotte Friedman reported that unsigned Detroit defenseman Simon Edvinsson ‘prefers’ a trade out of his drafted club. The 23-year-old left-shot has been without a contract all offseason coming off of his entry-level deal, signed back in 2022 🧐 As the story goes, Edvinsson attended Red Wings camp and wanted to be patient on a deal until they signed a new full-time GM. After camp, Edvinsson flew back to Sweden to continue practice while he waited on a contract but it appears he’d prefer to sign it elsewhere 😳 Thoughts? The former 6th-overall-pick in 2021 has amassed 19 goals for 60 points in 175 games, 4th among defensemen taken in the class. Boston has $6M in cap space but perhaps could make some wiggle room in a deal for a player of his caliber; Thoughts? 💭 #NHL #Hockey #Bruins #Boston #NHLBruins #RedWings #Detroit #Trade #SimonEdvinsson
