The RNAV Approach into Steamboat is definitely a cool one. Second steepest IFR approach in the US with a 7.75 degree descent angle. More than double a standard approach 🛩️ And yes, I know it’s a circling approach and we could’ve joined the pattern and lost altitude there as well, but we were well within operating limitations of the plane (shock cooling and all), forward slips are a standard maneuver I do frequently for practice, weather was amazing and because doing hard things safely makes you a better pilot 🛩️ #pilot #flying #cirrus #mountainflying #aviation
