For more than three years, India’s northeastern state of Manipur has been trapped in a cycle of ethnic violence.
What started as a dispute between two communities about land rights, identity and tribal status, has expanded into a wider conflict.
More than 300 people have been killed and tens of thousands are living in temporary shelters.
In the capital New Delhi, the violence has found two distinct expressions -- with an art exhibition and a public protest.
Al Jazeera’s Um-e-Kulsoom Shariff reports from New Delhi, India.
