One year ago yesterday, I posted this reel. I was in my bedroom listening over to my own recording and needed to take a break. I decided to listen to some of my favorite Beatles songs and had the realize that (at the time) I was the same age as Paul McCartney when he wrote “You Never Give Me Your Money”/“Carry That Weight”. I couldn’t believe it…Paul McCartnry suddenly felt so human. I had a lot of people comment on that original post saying things along the lines of “yeah, doesn’t it make you feel so unaccomplished?” but that’s not why I shared the post. I just felt like in that moment I had something in common with Paul McCartney. I knew what it felt like to be 27 years old and a little unsure of myself, the world, and my future. I got 5,000 new followers from this one reel alone. 5,000 new friends. 5,000 new people to share my love of music with. And more kept coming!
