President Trump met with AI leaders at the White House Tuesday, saying again he won't "stifle" the growth of the technology.
The meeting comes as AI leaders are issuing dire warnings about the threat of AI and calling for steps to slow it down before it's out of control. Following those warnings, lawmakers are weighing what -- if any -- action should be taken.
Along with House Speaker Mike Johnson and members of Trump's Cabinet, guests included Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Jensen Huang from Nvidia, Palintir's Alex Karp and Shyam Sankar, Amazon's Jeff Bezos, and Greg Brockman from OpenAI.
