In the after-hours of XVY studio, our tech master elektrojakub works on his solo project clue.lamp – he builds generative light objects that slowly shift colors, softened by a glass diffuser. elektrojakub: “The first prototype of ‘clue.’ was inspired by the vibrant colors and gradients in the works of Polish painter Wojciech Fangor. I tried to recreate this effect with generative code that produces a smooth motion of radial gradients – each one unique and unrepeatable. The final result is an organic, calming light. ‘clue.’ comes in different sizes and finishes, with customizable colors and speed. It supports USB-C, or 12V power supply, or direct EU/US power. In over 2 years of working on this project, I learned 3D design, 3D printing, and generative coding. Huge thanks to those who supported me: ksawerykomputery (code and diffusion research), srkfngs (production), rdest_ (first 3D prints and design tips), rezystory69 (PCB design), and kajetan.topolewski (3D printing advice).” #ligh...
