The Strait of Hormuz will not reopen until Iran's seven conditions set out in June's interim US-agreement, Iran's parliament speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said. Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi said separately on Sunday the Strait could be reopened within seven days if the US accepted a new proposal by Tehran. "The position of the Islamic Republic of Iran is completely clear and firm, and the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened until our seven conditions, based on the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, are met," said Qalibaf, Iran's top negotiator. Aragchi also warned Iran was prepared to respond if the US again chose military action. #straitofhormuz #qalibaf #iran
