As I sat here I began to think about the history and culture of this place. So many memories, good and bad, that have stemmed from such a magnificent site. There are many teaching from the land that we as Navajos hold dear to our hearts not only here but all across this land. It is up to us as a people of the land to understand that this has been and will be here longer than we cease to exist. We have to protect this land, our land, from the intruders like we did many years ago and still today. Canyon De Chelly, just like Bears Ears, has many stories and teaching within it that many Native Americans hold dear to their hearts. It is up to us to Protect it and know how Sacred our lands are!!
