Ontario workers are getting a raise starting TOMORROW ‼️👀💰 Beginning October 1, Ontario’s general minimum wage will increase from $17.60 to $17.95 an hour, while the student minimum wage will rise from $16.60 to $16.90 an hour. For someone working 40 hours a week at minimum wage, the 35-cent increase works out to roughly $728 more in gross pay over a full year. The student rate applies to workers under 18 who work 28 hours or less per week while school is in session, or who work during a school break. With the cost of rent, groceries and everyday expenses continuing to hit wallets, every increase counts. 💵 Is $17.95/hour enough to keep up with the cost of living in Ontario? Thoughts ⁉️🤔⤵️ • • • • #Ontario #Ottawa #MinimumWage #OntarioNews #Canada
